Civil Service provides the system and service that enables the parish to make merit-based, quality decisions to attract, develop, and retain a productive and diverse workforce that provides quality services to the citizens of Lafourche Parish. Civil Service manages the position classification plan, uniform plan of salary ranges, classified job opportunities, examinations, classified employment applications, classified job descriptions, performance evaluations, and employee appeal petitions/hearings. The Civil Service Department strives for efficiency, professionalism and confidentiality.
