From US National Weather Service New Orleans Louisiana – Tropical Update: Tropical Depression Two

We break it all down here below!

Potential for wind gusts greater than 39mph for most of the southeast Louisiana coast and the MS Coast, especially along the immediate coast.

Tropical Storm Watch for easternmost coastal counties.

Earliest reasonable time of arrival will be Tues night into Wed morning

Storm Surge Watch in effect for easternmost coastal areas

2-4 feet of inundation east of the MS River; 1-3 feet of inundation west of the MS River and Lakes

Low lying roads could be flooded or impassable

Potential for moderate flooding rainfall

2-4 inches will be possible, especially along the immediate Louisiana coast

*This amount will be lower if the track shifts south at all

Locally higher amounts possible

One additional concern other than the TD2 is the heat as people make preparations outside.

Heat Advisory in effect for tomorrow

Heat index values between 107 and 111 degrees
