PROJECT ANNOUNCEMENT: Parish President Mitch Orgeron is excited to announce the Valentine Pontoon Bridge replacement project. This project is made possible by partnering with the Office of Louisiana Highway Construction and Executive Director Archie Chaisson. Special thanks to the Lafourche Parish Council for passing the agreement with the State during the Council meeting on Tuesday night. This new bridge, which is being designed and built by Lafourche Parish companies, will reconnect Council Chairman Armand “Noonie” Autin’s district.
The project is slated to begin construction by July 2026 and will take about 18 months for project completion. Keep following our social media and website for future updates on this very important infrastructure project.
