LAFOURCHE PARISH – Lafourche Parish Government, along with our partners at the Manning Passing Academy, Nicholls State University, Louisiana’s Cajun Bayou and the City of Thibodaux, are proud to announce the results of the Economic Impact Study from the Louisiana Office of Tourism. The results show the importance of the Manning Passing Academy to Lafourche Parish. The economic boost generated by the program was $2,661,432 in direct economic impact and $1,766,164 in indirect economic impact, for a total of more than $4.4 million in total economic impact for Lafourche Parish. Families locally and from across the country came to Lafourche Parish and spent dollars at hotels, restaurants, businesses, and with our tourism partners.
Parish President Mitch Orgeron looks forward to the continued success and growth of this program. The Manning Passing Academy is one of the nation’s premier football camps that gives young athletes an opportunity to work with college and former professional players.
