LAFOURCHE PARISH – Lafourche Parish Government, Lafourche Parish Sheriff’s Office, NTSB, FAA, and Lafourche Crossing 308 Volunteer Fire Department responded to and are investigating a helicopter crash in the Thibodaux area near Laurel Valley Road this morning.
Information that we know as of now: The pilot, who was the only passenger on the helicopter, crashed in a sugar cane field near Laurel Valley Road and died.
All agencies are working together in cooperation to assist the FAA and NTSB. Once the investigation is complete, the FAA and NTSB will release their findings.
