ICYMI: Lafourche Parish Government has been awarded $1.2 million in funding through the CPRA parish matching grant program to construct the Golden Meadow Marsh Creation phase II! This project will consist of 65 acres of marsh to protect the Larose to Golden Meadow Hurricane Protection Levee and provide habitat for wildlife.
“This grant award shows that when we work together, great things get accomplished. With this funding, we will continue the work of protecting our lower Lafourche communities. I want to thank CPRA for the continued support and partnership, and look forward to continuing to work together to protect Lafourche Parish and rebuild our coastline,” said Lafourche Parish President Mitch Orgeron.
Huge thanks to our partners on this project:
We look forward to continuing to work together in the future!
