Head Start

Our Mission - Educating our children today for a better tomorrow

Our Vision at Lafourche Parish Head Start -
To support children and the community of low-income families by providing a high-quality preschool experience. Lafourche Parish Head Start has the goal of preparing children for their next educational setting through implementing school readiness and social skills. Through parental assistance, the children we service will be exposed to reading, writing and math skills to increase cognitive levels in the areas of math, literacy, language, social/emotional and science. Parental involvement in their child’s education is crucial for preschool children's learning.
