Teacher at South Lafourche Head Start
- Mathews, LA – According to the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD), the West Larose Vertical Lift Bridge on Louisiana Highway 1 crossing the Intracoastal Canal will be closed continuously to vehicular traffic from 7:00 am on Thursday, December 8, 2016 until 5:00 pm on Friday, December 23, 2016.
- The Cut Off Lift Bridge will be closed to vehicle and marine traffic on December 2, 2016 from approximately 9:00 am until 1:00 pm.
- The Cut Off Lift Bridge will be closed periodically to vehicle traffic today, December 1, from 9:00 am until noon in order for workers to replace a motor.
Parish President Cantrelle received testimony recently at a Louisiana Coastal Protection and Restoration Authority (CPRA) meeting in Baton Rouge regarding the 2017 Coastal Master Plan. PUBLIC NOTICE In conjunction with the upcoming closure of the West Larose Vertical Lift Bridge crossing the Intracoastal Canal, on December 9 and the week of December 12-16, Lafourche Parish Government, with the approval of the U.S. Coast Guard, will enforce a curfew of no marine traffic on the T-Bois Bridge from 7:30 am to 8:30 am and from 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm Monday thru Friday.
