The Lafourche Parish Office of Community Action is announcing its Summer Youth Employment Program, which will offer youth ages 16-24 enriching entry-level summer employment.
Lafourche Parish Office of Community Action has formed partnerships with local agencies to create this opportunity to help young people launch careers by providing them with free job readiness training and paid employment. In order to be eligible, applicants must meet the following requirements:
· Resident of Lafourche;
· Ages 16 through 24;
· Family income must qualify under income guidelines as posted for CSBG programs;
· Able to pass drug screen;
· Ability to work 20-hour work week; and
· Enrolled as high school and/or college student.
*Anyone 16 years of age must have a work permit. *
This program will begin June 3, 2024 and extend through July 18,2024 (employment dates subject to change based on program needs). Salary is $10.00 per hour.
