Parish Outage Information:              

Lafourche Parish (Network covers portion of Parish)

• Number of outages as of 4 p.m.: 17,330

• Percentage of damage assessments complete: 100%

o # of broken poles –  7296

o Spans of wire down – 7972

o # of damaged transformers-617

o Damaged x-arms- 3073

• Expected date of 100% damage assessed – 100% assessed

• Challenges- Traffic, weather, Accomplishments/Big wins – Crews continue working in the Raceland, Matthews, Valentine, Lockport, LaRose and Cut Off communities.  We have energized 8  feeders in this area:2 out of Matthews  Substation, 2 feeders out of the Lockport Substation and 4 feeders out of the Raceland Substation.   We have picked up a total of 2,906 spans of wire and repaired  2,906  poles.  We have also installed 1,630 cross arms and 114  transformers.

• What are we working today-

o Raceland Community (All customers who are able to accept power have been restored.):  We’re pleased to let you know that power has been restored to your area following the impact of Hurricane Ida.. If you are still without power, check for damage to your electrical equipment. If your electric equipment appears undamaged, call 1-800-5OUTAGE. Thank you for your patience as we restored power.

o Matthews Community: (All customers who are able to accept power have been restored.) We’re pleased to let you know that power has been restored to your area following Hurricane Ida. If you are still without power, check for damage to your electrical equipment. If your electric equipment appears undamaged, call 1-800-5OUTAGE. Thank you for your patience as we restored power.

o Lockport Community: (All customers who are able to accept power have been restored.)   We’re pleased to let you know that power has been restored to your area following Hurricane Ida. If you are still without power, check for damage to your electrical equipment. If your electric equipment appears undamaged, call 1-800-5OUTAGE. Thank you for your patience as we restored power.

o Valentine Community: Restoration crews have made significant progress with power restoration to customers in this area. We have distribution resources focused on restoring power to the Lockport area including   Lafourche Parish Career Magnet, L.E. Fletcher Community College South campus.

o Cut-Off Community: .

o Golden Meadow Community: Restoration crews continue to restore power in Golden Meadow.  A  significant amount of damage remains in this area however, additional crews have been moved into the area to assist with restoration efforts. Crews will continue to restore power where it is safe to do so.  Power has been restored up to South Lafourche High School, Lady of the Sea Hospital.  Entergy was able to utilize a mobile substation to provide power to the LOOP tank farm and provide power to a number of customers.

o Galliano Community: Restoration crews continue to restore power in Galliano area.  There remains a significant amount of damage.  Additional crews have been moved into the area to assist and crews will continue to restore power where it is safe to do so.

• What are we working tomorrow:   Crews will continue with repairs and restore power where it is safe to do so.

• Estimated restoration for the Parish: September 29th

• Status of critical customers (hospitals, etc.) and expected ETR – St. Ann Hospital, Rouse’s, Entergy Service Center in Raceland, Central Lafourche High School, Lafourche Government, Wal-Mart, Lafourche 911, Raceland Elementary, Raceland Middle School, Lafourche Water District in Lockport  The Fire Station on Highway 1 and the Sugar Mill in Raceland, Broadway Nursing Home have been restored.
