I have been with Lafourche Parish Government for 30!
What’s something you’re proud of that few people know?
I am proud to have dual Master’s Degrees in Early Childhood Education and Early Childhood Special Education.
What’s your favorite way to spend a weekend or your free time?
My favorite way to spend my free time is sitting outside reading.
What brought you into your current role / what do you enjoy most about working here?
After 29 years in the classroom, I knew that it was time to transition to a different role. Head Start is my passion, and I wanted to use my skills to impact more children and families.
What’s a fun fact or hidden talent you have?
A fun fact is that I taught on the same grounds where my grandmother was the Principal!
If you weren’t doing this job, what would you try?
I wouldn’t be doing anything but working with children.
Who inspires you (professionally or personally)?
My mom is my greatest inspiration. She was the greatest teacher that I’ve ever known.
What’s your favorite show right now?
I love One Chicago!!! (Chicago Med, Fire, and PD)
