Tony Breaux is a dedicated public servant and experienced professional with a strong background in construction, planning, and government administration. A 1983 graduate of Central Lafourche High School, Tony has spent much of his career serving the Lafourche Parish community through both skilled trade work and public service leadership.
With approximately 25 years of experience in carpentry, Tony developed a reputation for hard work, craftsmanship, and attention to detail. His extensive knowledge of construction and building practices became a valuable foundation for his later work in planning and permitting.
Tony also worked for eight years with South Central Planning and Development Commission, where he contributed to regional planning and development initiatives. He later worked for two years as an inspector with Lafourche Parish Government, ensuring compliance with local building regulations and standards.
For the past eight years, Tony has served as the Director of Permits and Planning for Lafourche Parish Government. In this leadership role, he oversees permitting processes, planning operations, and community development efforts, bringing decades of hands-on experience and public service commitment to the position.
