Investigators for Coroner's Office

Description:

LAFOURCHE PARISH GOVERNMENT is accepting applications for a Full-time, Chief Medico-legal Investigator, Part-time, Medico-legal Investigator and a Part-time, Medico-legal Investigator RN/Sexual Assault Nurse to work at the Coroner’s Office located in Raceland.
1.) Full-time, Chief Medico-legal Investigator qualifications: Forensic medical investigative working under the direction of Coroner, supervise office staff, investigators and handle administrative duties. American Board Medical Death Investigation Certified (D-ABMDI), at least 15 years Medico-legal Death Investigations experience, expert witness in court, POST Certified and administrative background preferred. Annual salary is $30,000.
2.) Full-time, Medico-legal Investigator qualifications: Forensic medical investigative working under the direction of the Chief Medico-legal Investigator and performing duties as investigator. High school diploma or equivalent with some investigative experience in the medical, legal, law enforcement, insurance or mortuary field, or a closely related field; or an Associate of Arts degree in one of the above areas. Responsibilities include but not limited to: responding initially to calls involving reportedly natural deaths; investigation of the death scene including clothing, articles, photography of the scene and body location, sketches, elicits pertinent past and present history from persons associated with deceased and makes preliminary examination of body aiding in the Coroner determining cause and manner of death. Also transporting deceased to morgue, cataloguing and filing all related evidence. Annual salary is $12,000.
3.) Part-time, Medico-legal Investigator RN/Sexual Assault Nurse qualifications: Graduate from Forensic Nursing Program with a minimum of RN BSN. Responsibilities include but not limited to: responding initially to calls involving reportedly natural deaths; investigation of the death scene including clothing, articles, photography of the scene and body location, sketches, elicits pertinent past and present history from persons associated with deceased and makes preliminary examination of body aiding in the Coroner determining cause and manner of death. Also transporting deceased to morgue, cataloguing and filing all related evidence. Annual salary is $8,000; on-call basis. Sufficient strength, physical and emotional stability to work under adverse conditions is mandatory. Must have valid LA Driver’s license. Bus Driver/Bus Monitor

Description:

LAFOURCHE PARISH HEAD START is accepting applications for a Part-time, Bus Driver and Part-time, Bus Monitor for the Lockport area. Bus Driver qualifications: High school diploma or GED and at least one (1) year of experience in the transportation field required. Must be at least 21 years of age, have a CDL license with S Endorsement and an acceptable driving record with the Department of Motor Vehicles. Bus Driver salary is $12.00 per hour. Bus Monitor qualifications: High school diploma or GED. Must be at least 21 years of age, and ability to lift and carry 25 or more pounds. Bus Monitor salary is $7.11 per hour.
