The Chevron bridge closure is expected to begin February 2018 in order for the contractor to mobilize necessary equipment and to begin the demolition process. The project is expected to be completed in June 2018.

The Rita Swing Bridge on LA 655 crossing Bayou Lafourche in Lockport, LA is closed to vehicular traffic until further notice due to a mechanical failure. The bridge will remain swung open for marine vessel traffic and closed to vehicular traffic continuously until all repairs are completed.

Christmas Day and New Year's Day are garbage service holidays. Regular garbage service schedules will resume on Tuesday, 12/26/17 and Tuesday, 1/2/18.

Occupational license notices will be mailed on December 12th, 2017. Per Ordinance (No. 5840) adopted by the Lafourche Parish Council on December 20th, 2016, rates have changed, effective January 1st, 2018. Please pay close attention to the tables on the back of the forms for your renewal rates.

The Bayou Blue Pontoon Bridge on LA 316 crossing the Intracoastal Canal Waterway in Bayou Blue, LA is back to normal operation and open to vehicular traffic.
