    All residents and businesses in Lafourche Parish who suffered any damages from Hurricane Barry are asked to call the Lafourche Parish Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness to file a damage report between the hours of 8:00 AM and 4:00 PM. The telephone number is (985)532-8174.

  • Storm Debris Cleanup and Removal

    Lafourche Parish Government and its contractors will begin the process of Storm Debris Cleanup and Removal in the aftermath of Hurricane Barry. To assist in these collection efforts, we ask that storm debris and regular garbage and trash be kept separate as much as possible.

  • Commodity Application Registration Days

    Citizens that wish to apply for commodity assistance can register on Monday's and Thursday's throughout the month of July. Please bring proof of identification, social security card, proof of income and proof of residence. There can only be one application per household.

  • Mosquito Pool Positive for West Nile Virus

    This is to inform you that the Louisiana Animal Disease Diagnostic Laboratory has confirmed one of our mosquito samples positive for West Nile Encephalitis (WNV). Said sample was collected in the North Cut Off area of Lafourche Parish (Zone L5) on June 9th.

  • All Bridges are now OPEN

    At 2:00 P.M., July 14th, 2019, the Department of Public Works announced that the Galliano Pontoon Bridge and the Cote Blanche Pontoon Bridge are now open to vehicular and marine traffic.

    Parish President Jimmy Cantrelle has announced that Lafourche Parish Government has moved into the recovery phase. President Cantrelle has lifted evacuation orders and terminated curfew orders as of 7:00 A.M. July 14th, 2019.

  • Raceland Recreation Shelter Closed

    Residents that took shelter at the Raceland Recreation Center have chosen to return home. Due to lack of demand, Lafourche Parish officials have announced the Raceland Recreation Shelter is now closed. If you need assistance, please contact the Office of Emergency Preparedness at 985-537-7603.

    Parish President Cantrelle has confirmed that there is NOT a levee breach in Cut Off. Lafourche Parish Government officials will notify residents in the event conditions are un-safe, but that is not the case. There is NOT a levee breach, and residents are protected by the levee system in place.
