Due to the threat of severe weather, all Lafourche Parish Government offices will close on Thursday, April 18th, 2019, at noon. Lafourche Parish Government offices will re-open on Tuesday, April 23rd, 2019.

The Galliano Bridge will be closed today, Tuesday, April 9, 2019 from approximately 8:30 am to 11:30 am to change the ¾” x 175’ opening cable on the LA 308 side. The bridge will be closed to vehicular traffic and will not affect marine traffic.

Oak Lane in Thibodaux, La. will be closed today so that the Department of Public Works can replace a culvert. The closure is expected to be complete before 5:00 p.m. today.

The Coast Guard has approved a curfew to marine traffic at the T-Bois Bridge from 8 a.m. - 8:30 a.m. & 3 p.m. - 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, March 12, 2019 - April 15, 2019. This temporary curfew is to allow vehicle traffic to pass during construction to the drawbridge across the Intracoastal.

The Lafourche Department of Public Works announced March 6th, 2019 that repairs to the T-Bois Lift Bridge in Larose were completed ahead of schedule. The predicted timeframe for the repairs was three days, but were finished in less than two days.

The T-Bois Lift Bridge repairs have been completed. The bridge is back in full operation for marine and vehicular traffic.

There will be no regular household garbage collection on Mardi Gras Day, Tuesday, March 5th, 2019. Garbage collection will resume its normal schedule the following day, Wednesday, March 6th. Areas affected by the Mardi Gras holiday will have their next scheduled pick up on Friday, March 8th.

The West Larose Vertical Lift Bridge on LA 1 crossing the Intracoastal Canal Waterway in Larose, LA will be closed continuously to vehicular traffic from 7:00 a.m. Monday February 25, 2019 until 7:00 a.m. Monday April 15, 2019.
