"Actors Woody Harrelson and Kevin Costner will play legendary lawmen Frank Hamer and Manny Gault, the Texas Rangers who tracked notorious outlaws Bonnie and Clyde, in the Netflix film. They would be filling roles initially written for Paul Newman and Robert Redford. Hamer survived 100 gunfights and killed 53 people. He was persuaded into assembling the Rangers team that led to Bonnie and Clyde’s demise after a prison break in Texas. John Lee Hancock (“Saving Mr. Banks” and “The Founder”) will direct the film, which will focus on the posse organized to end Bonnie Parker and Clyde Barrow’s crime spree on May 23, 1934 in Bienville Parish."
"Of the projected $49 million production, an estimated $10.4 million is earmarked for Louisiana workers."
