DRY CONDITIONS HITS LAFOURCHE PARISH

Mathews, Louisiana – The National Weather Service has issued a Fire Weather Watch for most of Southeastern Louisiana including Lafourche Parish for Friday through Sunday. Much of this area is already in a severe drought with the next chance of rain late next week.

“All Lafourche Parish residents need to be aware of the dry conditions and use caution with having bon fires or generally burning items,” Parish President Charlotte Randolph said. “We as a community have experienced difficult weather situations in the past and we ask that all be cautious and considerate of their neighbors.”
