ELECTRONIC BIDS for the construction of the “Dugas Canal Drainage Infrastructure Improvements Project, Lafourche Parish Hurricanes Gustave/Ike CDBG Parish-Implemented Disaster Recovery Program, Engineer’s Project No. 2011-012” consisting of the following:
This Project will include modification of the existing drainage structure located on La. Hwy. 1 at the Dugas Canal; concrete paving of approximately 1,900 linear feet of major drainage ditch, replacement or modifications of open and sub-surface drainage structures along and upstream of Parkside Drive, and within the residential neighborhood commonly referred to as Bayou Country Club Subdivision, along with all other incidental work items as specified all according to the design specifications and plans.
will be received electronically by the Lafourche Government until 2:00 P.M. local time, on Tuesday, July 24, 2018, at which time bids will be retrieved from the Central Auction House (CAH) website and read aloud at the Lafourche Parish Government Complex, 402 Green Street, Thibodaux, LA 70301. Only electronic bids submitted on www.centralbidding.com will be accepted.
Bid documents are posted on www.centralbidding.com. To view these, download, receive bid notices by e-mail, and submit the bid you must register with Central Auction House (CAH). A non-mandatory Pre-Bid Conference shall be held on Tuesday, July 17, 2018 at 2:00 P.M. at the office of David A. Waitz Engineering and Surveying, Inc., 1107 Canal Boulevard, Thibodaux, Louisiana 70301. The pre-bid conference will be conducted to discuss the Plans, Specifications, and project requirements.

Bids shall be accepted from Contractors who are licensed under LA. R.S. 37:2150-2163 for the classification of HEAVY CONSTRUCTION.
The Lafourche Parish Government reserves the right to reject any and all bids for just cause. Such actions shall be in accordance with the Louisiana R.S. 38:2214 and Louisiana State Bid Law.
The Owner requires that each bidder attach to his bid a certified check, cashier’s check, or bid bond equivalent to 5% of the total bid as evidence of good faith of the bidder. Sureties used for obtaining bonds must appear as acceptable on the U.S. Department of the Treasury Circular 570.
No bidder may withdraw his bid within forty-five (45) days after the actual date of the opening thereof except as provided by law.
This project is funded through the Lafourche Parish Hurricanes Gustav/Ike CDBG Parish-Implemented Disaster Recovery Program, and is as such subject to all federal and state regulations.
The attention of bidders is called particularly to the requirements for conditions of employment to be observed and minimum wage rates to be paid under the Contract, Section 3, Segregated Facilities, Section 109, Executive Order 11246, and all applicable laws and regulations of the Federal government and State of Louisiana and bonding and insurance requirements.
