Lafourche Parish was severely affected by hurricanes in 2005 and 2008. During these storms, our Emergency Operations Center distributed many press releases relating to numerous issues and concerns for our citizens and businesses in addition to hosting news conferences and several media interviews.

As always, we are continuing the progress of moving Lafourche Parish Government forward and meeting the needs of our citizens through technology. In an effort to provide information to more of our citizens and businesses who were unable to obtain the information provided in the press releases through the different media sources (television, radio and newspaper), we are compiling an database of email addresses for businesses who would like to receive notifications and updates on storm information and evacuation details.
