Lafourche Parish Burn Ban Lifted

Lafourche Parish President Charlotte Randolph has lifted the Burn Ban that had been in effect in
Lafourche Parish. Residents can now burn on their own property, but MUST follow guidelines set forth
by the Lafourche Parish Ordinance 4363. As per this ordinance, burning of materials can only be done
between 8:00 A.M. and 5:00 P.M. Also, any resident wishing to burn MUST contact the Department of
Environmental Quality (D.E.Q.) at (985) 532-6206 to notify them of the burn. The D.E.Q.
representative will inform the resident of additional guidelines to follow.
